Lilly struck out eight and gave up three runs in his win on Tuesday night as the Cubs won 10-5. Go Ted Lilly!!!
I never prefaced my Ted Lilly updates with why. I love Ted Lilly. He is my favorite baseball player. If his Cubs meet my Yankees in the World Series, I would root for Chicago. That's how much I love Ted Lilly. He used to be a Yankee and they traded him. The Yankees also didn't make a play for him when he became a free agent, settling on Andy Pettitte as their lefty pitcher. See what good that has gotten them. Ted Lilly is 6-5 this season while Pettitte is 5-5. I boo Pettitte and cheer Lilly! So that's why. Let the updates continue as he pitches.
