Got a new job!!!

So I finally got a job as an accountant/bookkeeper at Morgane Le Fay. I started on December 22. I am still claiming unemployment until last week since I don't get paid through Paychex until this week. I need all the money I can get... Anyways, I think I am born lucky. I have never been without any money in my life. I was employed at Morgan Stanley from 2000 to 2006, Wyeth from Jan 06 to May 06. Cantor Fitzgerald from May 06 to September 06. AIG from October 06 to July 08, Equinox from Jul 08 to Sept 08, then RBC from Sept 08 to Feb 09. Then I was unemployed from Feb 09 to Dec 10. 22 months I was on unemployment. Then when I earned 10K working for AccountEdge my own company.

Now I'm set. I have Adam's income, Commondesk on weekends and evenings and this Morgane Le Fay job plus my tax return and audit work income from AccountEdge. I can renew my lease when it comes due at the end of May. Even with roaches and the lack of the buzzer working, I don't think I can move to another building without leaving a substantial deposit. My credit history is poor and my income from the job at Morgane Le Fay is not high enough to warrant me to moving to a place that costs $1400 or more.

I skipped lunch today. I was really full from Saigon Grill yesterday. I am bored. I wonder what I did to deserve this.

I got confused with the interviews and didn't secure an NBC interview. Now I have to take a day off for that.

Maybe I can combine that with a day of looking for a bartending job. I wonder how hard it will be to get a bartending job.

Another 3.5 hours to the long weekend! Woohoo! No more office! YAYAY

This week is going by painfully slow. There is an hour long staff meeting and then another hour. I am looking forward to a Stretch Session tonight.

Yep, I just have to make sure I do well on the interview and I will have a whole new chapter in my life.

I am trying to talk myself off the ledge.

My job is not that bad. I should just make the most of it. Do I really want to train people all day long at the gym? What if I hated it there as well?

Maybe I can get a job at NBC.

I have a Stretch session. I know, I know, I wasn't supposed to, but I have to meet my personal trainer to get tips for my interview next Monday.

I wrote a letter of resignation.

I am really hoping the interview tomorrow with TenZan III and the interview with Equinox on Monday go well and I can really do this. It makes the next few days bearable. Knowing there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes, the senior manager is out tomorrow! YAYAY!

I am hoping for the best, that I can quit and become a personal trainer and bartender. If it goes well, I will be making more than what I currently make. I would not even give notice. I would resign effective immediately.

Another girl left at 4:40pm! What's this?

Someone left work already and it was only 4:30pm. I should be so brave as to do that!

Today is the CPA Board Meeting, by the way. I will call on Friday to find out the news. I will forego a $1000 CPA bonus if I leave here.

I am not sure if I have to attend a meeting I scheduled for someone. She didn't include me in the list of attendees but maybe that's assumed.

Major turmoil.

Now a bigger situation is that my company has a new chief. So the likelihood of the division we're supporting gets sold is very high. So that means my job position is very shaky. I am not sure if I should move out and hope for the best. If I sell the apartment, my parents can subsidize my living situation and I can get the rest from unemployment.

I will still most likely move. I can always bartend and become a personal trainer.

The more I think about it, the more I am thinking of doing it.

I am thinking of quitting my job to focus on my passions. Joyce did it. She left the world of finance and banking and a lucrative job to become a curator.

I can follow in her footsteps and launch a creative new career. I just have to figure out what it is.

I was thinking of becoming a personal trainer and a bartender. I would love to interact with clients all day, trying to get them fit. While at night, letting them drink their hearts out. Train them and then ruin them. All in a day's work.

I am full-force applying to jobs. I want international travel. We'll see how my parents react to that.

My friend got laid off of ML. No wonder I haven't heard from her through email. We used to email each other all day long.

I should be thankful I have a job during these turbulent times.

Off to the NJ Client this Afternoon. I am lazy and it's going to be 96 degrees. I am so not looking forward to it.

I need to find a new job.
