Ted Lilly went to a record of 10-6, in a game coincidentally that ended in 10-6, Cubs. He hit a single, stole a base, and caught a baserunner, all while posting a quality start. Go Ted Lilly! He joins Ryan Dempster and Carlos Zambrano in the trio of 10 game winners that the Cubs have.

I tried eating at the sushi place on 2nd and 53rd Street, but it wasn't going to open til 6pm. So I came home and ate a burrito. I've been saving lots of money by eating a burrito for dinner. My mom got me a whole bunch of burritos.

My brother is coming into the city perhaps tonight to buy an iPhone. He is going on the family plan, so I may get an iPhone too.

My Internet at home works! It just got hooked up this afternoon.

I just bought a laser printer duplex to print out the CFA notes so that I can sell them. I just need to get the CFA materials. I emailed about them. I think if I sold 20 books/flashcards, I would make enough in a month. This is just to tide me over until I make the big bucks as a personal trainer.

I'm at the beach again. I used 50 proof sunblock on the burnt areas.

I'm going to the beach tomorrow! I will go on Wednesday as well. Then I have to wait for the cable guy but if it's early when he's done, I'll go on Thursday. Friday I have work and a Yankees game so I'll forego that. It may rain on Sunday so I might see if my friend Chiemi wants to go on Saturday instead.

I need to buy a few books to read at the beach. I'll be nice and toasted since it'll almost be 90 degrees.

Waiting for nothing

I ended up waiting 5 hours for the Apple iPhone and not getting it because I have a small business account and have to go to the AT&T Store. What a waste of time! They should have told people on line about that!

My CPA licensure. My name appears twice.

I got a new client from Guru.com. This time it's only for $250.

There's this British lady who speaks and it just irritates the hell out of me. She sounds Scottish.

I never before knew myself to abhor the British accent. But I do whenever I hear her. Thank God I am leaving this job soon. She has the office next to my cube.

I can't help but be mean. I am leaving the world of accounting and finance. I have a CPA. I can survive on my tax business. I don't need to work at a corporation.

No job at NBC

I didn't get the job at NBC. I am sorta relieved because I won't have to accept it. It was at Bravo. I don't watch anything on Bravo and I wasn't going to start lying that I did. Their channel isn't that exciting, to be honest. I actually don't watch any show on NBC besides Law and Order which I watch on other cable networks and Saturday Night Live. The only TV show I watch is Two and a Half Men and Gossip Girl.

The guy I would have been working for seemed like a putz too so I am glad I didn't have to make up my mind. It would have only been me and the guy working together on a sucky channel.

I'm at the Mets game with my brother. They are leading the Giants 2-0 in the top of the fourth inning.

This, amid, rumours that Ronaldo is headed to Real Madrid. I don't think I could have even made up these stories that come out about her. And boy is he unattractive.

Still not sure where Ronaldo will land, but he did have ankle surgery in Amsterdam.

Gaydar failed me

I have to write about my latest tax client. His name is Eric and I thought he was gay when I met him. He wore these checkered burberry type fitted pants. But then he gave me his 2007 year tax returns along with his wife's. He had gotten married in 2006. WOW! I never would have guessed that. I thought he worked in retail and was gay. So you never know.

I've reached my quota of tax clients to be able to survive on my tax business as my sole source of income for this month. Not bad since it's only 7/8.

I also listed my business in Yahoo and Google for $1 a month for the first month, $149 after the first month, which is the equivalent of two tax returns. So if I don't get two clients in the next month from the Yahoo / Google site, then I will cancel it.

I've given myself a pat on the back. I've got three exhausted dogs at my feet. All in a day's work.

Settling down into the new apartment. I got the third dog and boy is he noisy.

I took them for a walk around the new 'hood and they made some friends. I hope this new change in environment makes me not depressed.

I got a tax client to do his taxes for two years. Maybe I can get my fledgling tax business as my sole source of income.

I ran 3 miles at the gym this morning. I had two and a half hours of sleep. I'm gonna pay for this later on. Now I'm at work.

I'm going to the gym at 5:30am if I still can't sleep. I am not going to work. I am making some food now. Maybe that will help me get to sleep.

Still can't sleep

I can't sleep so I took the two doggies out for a long walk. We're back and Guga is pooped out on the doggie bed.

You know what tastes absolutely divine? Cracker Jacks and Pepsi. Yummy. Mmm mmm good.

I am offering to pug-sit.

She is willing to pay me $60 per day plus the dog walking fees. That would be a good $240. I had pug-sat for another pug for free, so I thought this was a good opportunity to make some extra money.

A tax client offered me $200 to track down his IRS refunds. He's not the first client to complain about this. I wonder what's up with the IRS.

Now the meeting got pushed back to 4pm and I have a doctor's appointment so I have to leave at 5pm. Dilemma. Sent out a note about that.

I skipped lunch today. I was really full from Saigon Grill yesterday. I am bored. I wonder what I did to deserve this.

There's a meeting about a new project at 3:30pm. I wish it was earlier. I am getting bored. I get paid to do nothing.

I got confused with the interviews and didn't secure an NBC interview. Now I have to take a day off for that.

Maybe I can combine that with a day of looking for a bartending job. I wonder how hard it will be to get a bartending job.

So the reports about Nereida and Cristiano Ronaldo are that they are serious. I should be more bummed out, but I am not. I am happy Ronaldo is happy!

They say she's his fiance. We'll see if that's true. Not that bummed out though. Not like I was ever going to meet him. He's not that hot.

I stand corrected. That photo makes his body look really hot. His face not so much. That he has much in common with his fiance!
