Tax season update 2

OK tax season is almost coming to a close. 10 more days! Yowza!

No word from Brandon. Maybe he finally got the hint I wasn't interested. LOL

Helen had her baby son a week or so ago. His name is Nathaniel Douglass Hunter. Nice name!

I am watching Titanic tonight. Hope to watch the soccer Real Madrid-Valencia game tomorrow afternoon. I have two tax appts today. Possibly one tomorrow.

Need to do two or three tax returns that are taking me forever to do/get around to doing.

Great Adventures and Atlantic City

So Brian's taking me to Great Adventures next Friday. I have to go to Newark at noon and he'll drive there. He also said he'll pay for admission. It'll be $25 each since there's a special deal on Coke Cans. Mon-Fri buy one get one free.

Then my bro wanted to go to Atlantic City on Wednesday so I might go there for the second time in my life. The first time I went there I was 19 and I couldn't gamble since they carded me. I've only since gambled in one poker game (lost when I went all-in). That'll be my mini-vacation. I'm also headed to Boston August 7-8 to visit Helen, she might be moving from Boston to somewhere else because Nick, her husband, has to find a place to do his post-doc.

I bought these two pairs of shoes, one Franco Sarti sandals and this other Taryn Rose open-toed peep shoes. Both used and a bargain! Spent 20 on the sandals and 60 on the shoes. I also bought a dress for $15 so I got three items for less than 100! I love eBay!

On the bus back from Boston to New York City

Taking the Greyhound to the Port Authority. Should be back in NYC by 7:30 and home by 8:15pm. I usually take the Chinatown bus but this goes to the Port Authority and it's turning out to be a smoother ride than the bus I took up to Boston.

Today we met up with Albert, a good friend from Cornell, for dimsum at Emperor's Garden restaurant on Washington Street in Boston's Chinatown.

Now I have all my bags of shopping and a fully charged iPhone. Fun times aboard this bus ride.

Day in Boston

I spent the day in Boston with Helen first going to Filene's Basement and getting a red, white, and blue t-shirt at Marshall's. Then we went to Downtown Crossing and I got a pair of flip-flops at TJ Maxx. Then we went to H&M where I got a summer jersey dress for only $5. But the true victory came at Benetton at Newbury Street where I got a black, grey and white halter top dress for $109.

Truly a great day in shopping. That makes the total tally of dresses from Benetton to be three. A brownish white halter dress, a pink rose cotton jersey dress that was only $35 after the buy one get the second item at half price and finally this black, grey and white dress.

I have to not go into the Benetton anymore this summer.

Deadbeat Darling rocks!

I caught the show with Deadbeat Darling at Rockwood Music Hall last night with my friend Chiemi who turned me onto their music. She is their number one fan, having been attending all their shows in the past year and a half and now collecting email addresses for the mailing list at their shows.

Deadbeat Darling rocked the house. My favorite song is What a Wicked Woman Wouldn't Do. I bought their CD, 4-song EP named Belle Epoch. I got home at a decent hour of 1AM but still couldn't wake up on time for work the next day. I am not sure if I will go to another show for that reason. They were pretty awesome.

Now I am in Boston at my friend Helen's apartment. I haven't visited in a while.

I am listening to Deadbeat Darling now.
