The Week Ahead

So tax season is going strong. I am projecting $4760 from current or pending tax clients and projects. Not including the last-minute tax filers in the 17 days before the tax deadline of April 17, 2012!

I will be attending a Japanese meetup dinner tomorrow night. It looks like a nice Japanese restaurant. Here's to hoping it's good!

I have one tax client who was a referral, meeting him in his East Village apartment.

Monday I will go to my second p/t job from 9 to 11:30am then to my first p/t job from 12 to 4. I think I have 3-4 tax appts on Monday from 4:30-6PM! Monday night is the return of Gossup Girl! YAY!

Tuesday will prolly just go to the first p/t job. No plans on Tuesday night.

Wednesday and Friday are my days for tax appts. I have two tentatively scheduled for Wed!

Thursday is the day to go to the first p/t job.

Wednesday night is a Portuguese dinner meetup. Thursday night is a Mexican dinner meetup.

Friday night I will watch Titanic in 3-D with Rebecca (Chiemi's friend).

Next Saturday and Sunday night I have no plans...

Taxes and such

OK, I made a lot of money this week. Not as much as last weekend but we can't all win! LOL

Anyways, I met with two clients today and I will have a day off tomorrow. I am going to Nets-Bobcats game tonight with Chiemi ($20 tickets! discounted from $40).

I will go to Hunger Games movie (I saw it Friday night with Rebecca but bought this ticket before then) and meetup dinner with Alfredo (his last meetup as organizer).

3.5 more weeks left of tax season and then it's a long 9 more months til the next tax season!

So next week is less hectic than this week. On Monday I will go to all you can eat spaghetti and all you can drink sangria. On Tuesday there is this free movie and dinner meetup. Not doing anything on Wed and Thurs as of yet. Heading to La Casa Femme with Augustine on Friday night. And there is a tentative dinner meetup on Saturday night but there's only one other person signed up so not sure if that's happening or not!

See less hectic but who knows if I'll get more plans next week as the time approaches.

Rebecca is Chiemi's friend who moved to Astoria and we started hanging out. She's nice. Nearer my age (31) than Chiemi.

Anyways, Brandon was in Toronto this week. Oh well.

OK I had one appointment on Sat and one appointment on Sun. Not so bad. No appts tmrw but I do start my second day of hopefully constructive work at the technology company started by the Cornell graduate.

It's a very depressing work situation. Run-down apt building! I hope it doesn't become full-time. I know I can do better! LOL

I have two tax appts on Tuesday (one at 8:30am, one at 5:3opm just in case I need to work on Tuesday). One tax appt on Sat.

I need to get more busy! It's the home stretch - last 4 weeks before tax season ends!

I am meeting my bro for burger dinner at Van Diemens ($24 for two burgers with fries, two beers and one fried OREOS). Not bad!

Then going to Sushi dinner for 2 at Fusha West in Upper West Side with Chiemi on Tuesday.

My first dining out meetup at Breeze with three other people! That should be fun.

NY Philharmonic concert on Thursday - guest conductor over Henze and Schubert. With dinner at Il Violino beforehand.

No plans on Friday night.

Saturday night I am going to Nets basketball game ($20 tickets) with Chiemi in Prudential Center in Newark, NJ

Sunday I am going to movie and dinner meetup with Alfredo, his last as a meetup organizer. The movie is Hunger Games .. Should be good.

So I have an action-packed week ahead of me.

Let's see if I have time for Brandon this week. LOL

Whoops been a while since my last post. Brandon R went to Snowbird UT to go skiing with a bunch of buddies. I thought Colorado is the choice destination for skiiers.

Oh well what do I know?

Anyways he checked into a lot of Salt Lake City venues today so I thought he was heading home but no airport check-ins. Who knows when he'll be home. I think I'll get my period tmw! just in time for his return home! LOL

I made $500 today, possibly $575 tomorrow. Not so bad! I need to work on three returns and an expense receipt project. OOOH what fun!

I need to get more new clients - not sure how I'll get them though.

OK I got back from Ido Sushi in West Village. I had sushi dinner for two with appetizer and a glass of wine (Sapporo beer for my bro). Not so bad! Very full.

I went to Pure Food and Wine last Friday with Chiemi and was not full and not satisfied with my raw vegan meal. Won't go there and prolly won't go to Candle either! Staying away from vegan places.

I will go to Tu Casa on Steinway and 30th Avenue tmw night with meetup group. It's only 2 blocks away from me, I have to try it out. Then Thai food in Queens Blvd on Thursday night. No plans this weekend except finish John's expense project and Little Feet's tax returns. Maybe catch Real Madrid-Real Betis match Sat at 4PM. Pug meetup at 11AM on Sunday in Animal Haven. Will do 7:45AM mass.

Anyways will try to post every week. Sorry for the long delay since my last post. Been working at taxes a lot!

Brandon's stalking me

OK I'm being stalked. Brandon called me on Wed night at 7PM right before meeting my friend Chiemi for burger dinner in East Village. Tonight he called at 4PM twice and then when I didn't pick up he called at 5:20PM. I picked up and we chatted. I am busy tonight meeting Augusto for Indian dinner I'm treating him to because he lent me his phone number to use for Craigslist.

I wasn't busy yesterday and he didn't call. Anyways I told him I wasn't busy this weekend but who knows he might be going to Vermont to ski with his buddies. who knows?

He tweeted his friend about going to the Brooklyn Bowl last night but he went to Irving Plaza. Weird, eh?

Also he's asking abt anal sex. That's great. he's like humongous and now he wants that. That will be painful. Not picking up his blocked calls anymore. LOL

Brandon update

I met up with Chiemi for a burger, side and beer for two for $19. Not so bad! Brandon called me at 7PM. He asked me for my number a week ago so I thought he lost my number. Strange. Anyways, I was busy so another time I guess.

But he did ask me to meet up with him a week ago when he was supposedly in Boston. Isn't that strange?

I will prolly see him this weekend as I am not busy this weekend. Not that excited about meeting him. He is too young and Jewish for me. His sisters are 23 and 21, for Chrissake, one's in college still.

It'll be nice to date him. Even if he's only 5'11 according to those dating sites he belongs to.

Update this week

I've fallen off the exercise band wagon. I will recommit this week. I will try to sign up for Gregg Cook's spin class at 19th and Broadway on Monday. I have two or three tax appts on Monday. One on Fri and three undetermined ones. I will try and get my business tax software this month and mail my amended tax returns so I can get my tax refund.

I heard from Brandon last Sat but didn't want to meet so I made up some excuse. Haven't heard from him since. He is in Chappaqua/Mt Kisco area now or this afternoon. Too bad for a mild winter. He really does enjoy skiing.

Oh well, meeting Chiemi for dinner at Black Iron Burger. $19 for two burgers, two sides, and two beers. Not so bad. Dentist appt on Monday. Meeting Augusto for an Indian meal somewhere on the UES on Friday. Chill weekend - Real Madrid game on Sunday Feb 12. Meeting a CU applicant on Sat in Bayside.

OK off to play word with games with my bro. I'm improving!

Super Bowl Sunday tomorrow. Not sure if I should mix up my schedule and watch from a different locale like my parents' house. GO GIANTS AND ELI! Beat Tom Brady and Patriots convincingly! Will try to do mass 7:45AM. Then Giants white manicure in the morning. 12:30PM and 4PM tax appts. Busy day tmw!

Yankees game in October

I just got home from dinner with Chiemi at Cafetasia. We had a $30 Living Social coupon.

Now watching Yankees game, Brandon is there with some friends. how come everyone he goes with and says in his tweet that he's going with tweets they're going with someone else. it's kinda funny and sad at the same time.

Brandon's so far bad luck for the Yankees. I won't be too majorly bummed if the Yankees don't make it to the World Series. I do want the Phillies to make it to the WS more.

I have a lobster dinner with Augusto tomorrow. I wonder if Brandon will ask me out tomorrow. I'm just bored to be honest, not really horny or anything.

Loaded bases, 3-1 Tigers in jeopardy. I hope Brandon's still at the game. He may be good luck after all.

I skipped the deadbeat darling concert last night and no photo shoot even though it didn't rain!

Tonight I am having dinner at Oliva with Augusto. Then maybe watching the Jets-Giants preseason football match.

I got a manicure pedicure already so no plans tomorrow. I might make jalapeno poppers tomorrow!

Tuesday I have a blackjack class. Wednesday meeting Josh at Osso Buco for a steak Living Social deal. Thursday seeing Dr Sherman after almost 2.5 months of going without. Then Augusto's birthday dinner at the Williams Club on Friday evening.

Chiemi has to crash at my apt before moving to a good deal sublet for 2 months in LIC. That's closeby to me! I have to check out her apt. But I'll be gone at my parents from Sept 2 to Sept 5! WOO-HOO US Open tix on Monday Labor Day Sept 5!

Got a new job end of May and really busy these days

I've been meaning to update my blog. I saw Davey three weeks ago. He came down to NYC. That went well. I should be seeing him in August in DC.

I got a new job! It's at Chapman Consulting, sister company of GMC Parking. I started on May 31. And it's going well. It's a real estate company that owns a lot of parking garages in Manhattan. Not as big as MPG. But about 60 garages. Not so bad. I am slated for a raise in 1 week so that will be interesting to see how much more they give me given I've worked there for only 4-5 weeks.

I have been super-busy. Jacqi and Jackie have been replaced by Augusto and Josh. I am still friends with Chiemi. I am going to see a foreign Asian film from the Asian Film Festival with Josh on Thursday. That's following a 7PM yoga class. The Sleeping Beauty ballet on Wednesday. I got dress circle seats, so that should be good. Tuesday I am scheduled to take a pilates class unless I have to work late. And on Friday I have a dentist appointment. Saturday I have a Pilates class in the morning followed by a Yankees game then Deadbeat Darling concert at night. Sunday I have to go to church around 12pm followed by a 2pm 3 hr knitting in the round class. Then I will be headed to a dinner at Nick and Toni's followed by a movie Transformers hopefully in IMAX with Augusto.

Busy week!

And then I am getting new bookcases next week after I get paid.

Busy weekend

I had a busy weekend. Let me start it by going through what happened Friday.

I went to my first Yankees-Bosox game. I want to go to Boston and attend a Yankees-Bosox game there, but I digress. It was a great pitchers' duel between Josh Beckett and AJ Burnett. Somewhere in the 7th inning, I wondered how many innings this event will go through. I stayed until the 14th inning, and then I had to leave because I had to catch the 1:19am train home, if I missed it I would have to wait for the 3:20am train home. The game ended 10 minutes after I left with A-Rod hitting a 2 run walk-off home run in the bottom of the 15th inning.

So after spending 5:30 hrs, I spent a relaxing Saturday at home. I helped kill, clean and then I cooked crab with egg, scallion and ginger. It came out quite nicely making me reconsider myself as a bad cook.

Saturday night was busy, I went to my cousin's daughter's banquet party. She was barely 3 months old. Her name is Sandrine. Not a fan of her name. It rhymes with gangrine, but whatever. Not my child. I stayed for an hour and then jetted off to visit my friends Chiemi and Jacqui at Chez Jacqueline, got the lobster risotto and chardonnay. I enjoyed the wine, which surprised me I don't normally like wine.

I luckily caught the 11:19pm train back home by 10 seconds. Got home 20 after midnight as they ran out of taxicabs at the train station.

I then got about 4 hours of sleep because I had to wake up to catch the 5:57am train to Penn Station to meet the bus going to DC at 7:15am. You see I had bought a ticket to see Cristiano Ronaldo play soccer with the Real Madrid team against DC United at FedEx Field in Landover, MD. 4.5 hr bus trip culminated in a parking lot barbecue of hamburgers and hot dogs. Went with the Real Madrid meetup group. Ronaldo only played the first half but I was in heaven watching him play for 45 minutes. He left after the first half, but Real Madrid scored three times to win it 3-0 over DC United. It was a great match if you were a Real Madrid supporter.

Then it took abt 5 hours to get back home at 10:45pm. I got home again at midnight, just to see my dad pull in from work.

This week is a chill week. Just have lunch plans with a former co-worker on Thursday.

Also it's day 9 of my running sabbatical. One more day of inertia and then I get to return to running on Wednesday Aug 12. I am debating on whether or not to ask Marty to go running with me this weekend. I am thinking I should go alone to test my fitness, don't want to drag him out and then stop in the middle of the run. But I haven't seen him in 2 weeks and I miss him. I think I'm going to fall hard for him. For however much I liked Rich, I was never in love with him. He was way too conservative. But with Marty, I can feel myself slowly falling for him. He walks with me when I need to walk during our runs, he doesn't abandon me. How nice is that? I even wrapped his gift ahead of his Sept 18 bday. I gave him the extra copy of Running Within I accidentally purchased before I even met him. It's not at all personal so I most likely will give it to him for his birthday. And it's not like I bought it for him. That and a $3 map to Central Park. So my whole gift to him was $3. I found my Central Park map, on another brighter note. I love that map.

Okay this is a long enough entry, I'll write more when I start running and keep you posted on whether or not I am doing the long run on my own this weekend or not.

A new year

The first post of the new year! I had an eventful NYE. I spent it with Chiemi and her friend Mo's place in Times Square. He had a view of the ball dropping. It was pretty cool. Lots of free champagne and vodka. It was a great, great party.

So now I was supposed to go to a tax training seminar today, but I overslept. I hope I can still be a tax volunteer.

I didn't take too many pictures at the party. I am not a great camera picture taker. I have come to accept that and move on.

NYE

So New Year's Eve will be at Mo's place. It's a NYE Party thrown by Chiemi's good friend, who is in a rock band Deadbeat Darling. It has a James Bond theme so I will have to dress as a Bond girl. I will wear my never-worn before formal black dress and look for a cigar. Not sure if I should just go back to my parents instead tonight. If it was not a costume party, I would definitely go. Decisions.

So my friend Chiemi may be going away the Fourth of July Weekend so I have to go to the Mishal Zeera by myself or get a friend from work to go with me

Deadbeat Darling rocks!

I caught the show with Deadbeat Darling at Rockwood Music Hall last night with my friend Chiemi who turned me onto their music. She is their number one fan, having been attending all their shows in the past year and a half and now collecting email addresses for the mailing list at their shows.

Deadbeat Darling rocked the house. My favorite song is What a Wicked Woman Wouldn't Do. I bought their CD, 4-song EP named Belle Epoch. I got home at a decent hour of 1AM but still couldn't wake up on time for work the next day. I am not sure if I will go to another show for that reason. They were pretty awesome.

Now I am in Boston at my friend Helen's apartment. I haven't visited in a while.
