Extension

So my assignment has been extended to the end of February. Should I be happy or annoyed? I think it's the latter. I was so looking forward to collecting unemployment or moving to work with a friend who is starting his own hedge fund.

Now I have to wait another month. Great!

Work ending this week

My assignment ends on Friday and I have no job, but I think I'll get a job at my friend's new start-up hedge fund. Keeping my fingers crossed that that will work out! It'll be on 57th and 6th Avenue which is walkable from my current apartment.

I still have not decided what to do about Rich. I can't seem to sit well on the notion that we are broken up, but he doesn't see long-term with me, so what's the point.

Sophia and James

Sophia Bush is going out with James Lafferty. I found out the news yesterday but am still astounded. After her failed marriage to fellow One Tree Hill co-star Chad Michael Murray, it's quite brave of her to go after another co-star. Let's hope this works out for her.

Gossip Girl

I watched Gossip Girl this past Monday and it was oh so juicy! Time to see it again next week. I saw it at the boy's apartment.

Ocean's Eleven is on

Watching Ocean's Eleven, playing the Aso game. Darn, that game is addictive!

Bush has lost more domestic battles than he's won

That's the title of a CNN article about Bush's domestic agenda. Social Security reform, immigration, Katrina. The list that piles up is not a pretty one. But I still like George W Bush. I hope the history of his administration doesn't get too tarnished.

Gawker Site

I've recently discovered Gawker site, which is this funny, cheek in tongue tabloid magazine about Wall Street and pop culture.

It really wastes away the days at this boring job.

3 more hours here. I was reflecting. Last year I was at a job that was from 9-5, and that was boring. I was counting the hours until 5pm. Now I have a job from 8-6, just as boring. I wonder what kind of life I lived before in a previous life to deserve this kind of punishment.

I'm successfully using my mom's laptop to play the Aso game. I have circumvented the system!

Bush to Deliver Farewell Address on Thursday

I will miss George Bush. Even though I voted for Obama, that might be one choice that I will regret. As some people have stated, they are really thinking he'll tank as president. For the sake of our country, I hope that's not the case.

Laptop switch

I'm getting my mom to deliver me her laptop and giving her my laptop to use. This is in an attempt to be able to play the Aso game. Crossing my fingers that that will work.

Giants are big losers

The Giants lost to the Eagles 23-11 in the Division Round. I went bowling and wasn't able to watch the game from home. I might have jinxed them by doing this. Oh well, we'll get them next year and at least the Patriots won't win it either! I am not watching football for the rest of this season, that's for sure!

Banned

I got banned from Aso Games for quitting too many games. I hope they repeal the decision. I can't go a whole month without playing. :(

Tennessee Titans lose in the Division Round

The #1 seed Tennessee Titans fall to the Baltimore Ravens 13-10 in Tennessee. This does not bode well for the #1 seed in the NFC, the Giants.

Aso Brain games

I'm addicted to this online computer game called Aso Brain. I'm playing it now and have been playing it all day since I called in sick today. I didn't call in sick to play the game. I was just exhausted. It's not a great way to start the week from somebody else's apartment. I have to not stay over on Sunday's. But will I learn this Sunday? I would have to spend all day with the guy and that may be possible.

Water Intoxication

I'm fascinated by death by water intoxication. How much water must one drink to die from it? Am I drinking too much water? All these questions with no easily found answers.

New Year's Resolutions

My new year's resolution is to be cleaner and to find a new job.

A new year

The first post of the new year! I had an eventful NYE. I spent it with Chiemi and her friend Mo's place in Times Square. He had a view of the ball dropping. It was pretty cool. Lots of free champagne and vodka. It was a great, great party.

So now I was supposed to go to a tax training seminar today, but I overslept. I hope I can still be a tax volunteer.

I didn't take too many pictures at the party. I am not a great camera picture taker. I have come to accept that and move on.
