Ted Lilly update

For the playoff rotation for Round 1 of the World Series is Dempster, Zambrano, Harden and then Lilly. I just read an article on why Lilly should be second. Not sure if I agree though since Lilly didn't do so well in the playoffs last year. I don't even know if the same manager was there so I don't know the thinking behind that.

See Paddy does look concerned!!

Paddy always has a look of concern on his face.

Maybe I'm projecting, but he always looks concerned. I'll post a pic shortly.

Excited to see Ted Lilly at a Mets game next week.

I am tentatively starting a temp job at RBC Capital Markets on Wednesday. I hope there is no overtime on Thursday because I want to go to the Ted Lilly's Cubs-Mets game on Thursday. I may even get expensive seats so I can see him pitch. I hope the Cubs make it to the World Series.

So sad AIG is out of the DJIA

I left AIG and hated AIG because I had no work to do, but I didn't want it to go through this.

Ted Lilly goes 15-9

Ted Lilly nearly followed Carlos Zambrano to make it back-to-back no-hitters for the Cubs against the Astros on Monday. He settled for a combined one-hitter, giving up a single to Mark Loretta with no outs in the seventh. Lilly struck out nine and walked one in seven innings, throwing 88 pitches, defeating the Astros 6-1, going to 15-9 for the season.

No Ronaldo news. I almost forgot about him. Ronaldo set to return against Chelsea next weekend.

I finished the taxes for the music company. So that's $350. I also finished the non-profit on Friday and the guy will mail me my $2500 check.

Giants win 41-13 over the Rams.

The Giants are now 2-0. Let's go Giants. Jason Tuck scored 1 TD, 1 interception, 2 sacks. Eli Manning was great as he scored 4 touchdowns.

Watching the Giants-Rams game at home.

I went to my brunch at Dolce Vita and blew off the Giants-Rams meetup. And nobody showed up to my brunch, so I should have just went to the Giants-Rams meetup. But I didn't know where it was. I'll definitely go to the Giants-whatever meetup next Sunday!

Nobody showed up to my brunch at Dolce Vita. How sucky!

Ted Lilly wins his 14th of the season

Lilly pitched eight solid innings and survived a head-on collision at home plate as the Cubs took advantage of two errors by third baseman Felipe Lopez in a four-run second inning to beat the St. Louis Cardinals, 4-3, on Wednesday night.

Lilly (14-9), who lasted two innings in his last start, against the Reds, struck out five and gave up five hits over eight efficient innings to match his longest outing of the year.

so Chad Pennington was released from the Jets and plays for the Miami Dolphins.

I just realized this halfway into the Jets-Dolphins game. I thought Favre and Pennington were playing for the same team. I am behind the times. I am still a huge Giants fan! I am going to watch the Giants-Rams game next Sunday.

Tom Brady left the first game with a leg injury. He may be MIA from the Jets-Patriots game next Sunday!

My healthy lunch!

I have to finish these taxes by tomorrow at 4pm.

I should do these tonight but I am not motivated enough.

Ted Lilly, why oh why are you sucking now?

It's 9-0 Cincinatti over the Cubs in the fifth inning and Ted Lilly started this game. That means he'll most likely go to 13-9. I guess 16 wins is no longer really achievable!

Explanation of Apartment Pictures

I was feeling nostalgic on my trip back to my old apartment to meet with some new realtors. This time they hail from Corcoran so I know this time my apartment will be sold in a few months! The guy drove me back to midtown in his souped up BMW. I am sure that they will sell my apartment in no time. Which won't come any sooner since I need my parents' help to afford to live in Manhattan.

I sorta miss the high ceilings, hardwood floors, and the new appliances I had in the old apartment. I wish I had a 60K job that could afford that lifestyle. Now I make $8/hr and I have to finish that accounting project to pay my September rent which is late.

I am not motivated to do the taxes though.
