December 2016 posting

So 2016 was a great year for me financially and business-wise.

I made a lil over 105K. 32.5% growth; 11% adjusted for rent increase (Wework is $7050 more money) and my bf wages ($9850) not deducted as he's paid under the table.

I'm aiming for 125K in 2017. I joined a networking group so I hope to increase my earnings in that group.

Carl and I continue to date, this Oct marked our third year anniversary. Not bad.

I think I will cut down his hours to only mid Feb to mid April and increase mine.

I lost a few friends but friends are expendable, lol

I don't have many new years resolutions. I think I will add a barre class on Monday evenings even if it's not a true barre class. I will also aim to run 2-3 miles for 5 days in a week. Decided not to hire any nutritionist.

Barely November posting

So all is going well with me. This month was slightly busier than last year November. I'm hoping I get payment on three pending projects by year-end.

Still seeing Carl, my bf, although I haven't hired him in 2-3 weeks. I will see if I am busy next year to see if he needs to help me next year.

Record profits this year. Taking two vacations, one to Jamaica with my friend. And then to Philly for 3 days 2 nights to see the Eagles-Giants game. I hope the Giants make it to the playoffs this year.

Might start a YouTube channel, need to find a vlogging camera.

Posting for Sept & Oct 2016

I missed my monthly posting in Sept. Sept was a bit slow and October will be slightly better. Can't wait til tax time comes and I'm rolling in it.

I went to see a psychic Paula yesterday. I would say she's 60% accurate. She kept saying Carl is conflicted and troubled. Maybe he does have a secret family.

I booked a hotel and airfare to go to Montego Bay, Jamaica with my friend. I hope we have fun! I haven't had a vacation since I went to Miami for 5 days last December. We will be there from Dec 14 to Dec 18. I have three swimsuits to bring.

Carl and I will be dating for 3 years this October 15. We will go to Korean Restaurant in K-Town next week after the deadline of October 17 passes by.

Nothing else is new with me. Maybe my life is boring so I don't even post once a month.

Monthly August Post

I'm getting good with these regular monthly posts.
Work is getting a bit slow. I gave Carl one project that I didn't want to do so he's going to wrap that up by Labor Day.
We're not going to the US Open this year because tickets are not discounted. I'll just go with my mom.

All signs point to a record year in earnings! I don't think every year will be like this year as I got some big clients this year and getting them every year seems a bit hopeful.

I may move out in 2 more years. My dad said he'll help me move out in 2 years. So that's one thing to look forward to. I have to save 25-30% of my earnings to pay taxes. I also have to pay my parents back for helping me with my 2012 taxes and credit card debt. I think that's around 15K to pay back.

My meetup groups are not going that well, they're not that well-attended. Oh well.

I'm getting my bf a laptop. Last year I got him an iPhone. I may need to find a more rich bf, lol.

My bf has met my good friend Fay and he's set to meet Elaine on Sunday. But I had to bribe him with the laptop. Oh well. Next year I'm not buying him anything.

Happy and Content in July

So I am posting again in July because the first entry in July was supposed to be June's entry.

I didn't make a record July because one of my clients got pushed to August. But I will still make that money this year so all is good.

Carl is helping me with one last client. I like his company and I can afford him as I am raising my rates.

So work is going well. Getting a bit busy and new clients call so I keep the work churning.

I'm trying to have more meetups so I can make new friends.

I may just get my bobblehead Mike Piazza and go home. It looks like it may rain today.

Not going to any more Mets game except for August 30. They are in a major slump.

I'm happy with Carl. Nothing else to report.

YouTube Channel, July a record non-busy season month!

I missed my June post by 4 days, whoops!

This month of July I will make a great deal of money as I have a lot of lucrative projects closing.

Carl's mom came to visit for two weeks so I didn't have to pay him that much. That's good.

Nothing that much new coming. I have slowed down on the restaurant groupons and I am hosting a bunch of meetups this month with my girlfriends group. Trying to make new friends.

I've been in a running rut but tmrw I hope to start a new streak alive. My parents' Jetta is in the shop so I will be traveling to Manhattan's Park Avenue Equinox to run my 3 miles. I might then do some work and meet my bf at my work office tmrw.

I'm trying to wear more makeup. That is a work in progress.

I also want to buy some more dresses. I had a moratorium on new dress purchases for 3 weeks but July 3 is the end.

Oh well that's about it. I think I may start a YouTube channel. I have to a good camera. More on that to come!

End of May Thoughts

So it's my monthly blog. Nothing new. Business was a bit slow this month. Hope it picks up next month!

Finally fired my bf, ran out of work for him.

Still very busy with my tax projects. Hope to wrap up a few of them in June!

Celebrated only three times this month for my bday. Need to make new friends.

April postings and rumination

OMG OMG OMG I almost missed my April blog posting.

It's been a good April but I fell short of matching March income by $650! But I made more than last April so that's a good benchmark.

I wanted to reach my benchmark of 50K income from Jan to Apr and I definitely made more than that, I made close to 64K so I will be staying at Wework.

Carl is still working for me but reduced hours.

I definitely don't think he has a secret family or gf/wife anymore.

I got eyelash extensions - mink and they definitely feel better than the ones I got last time but I am not a big eyelash extension fan and am waiting for them to fall off so I can go back to the gym and run.

I got weighed at the gynecologist's and I weigh 108. So I wanna lose 8-10 lbs.

I have brunch on Sunday with Fay and we're watching the Huntsman with Chris Hemsworth my fave actor du jour. I may go in to work on Saturday.

Next Saturday I have my last opera of the season with my meetup group and then another brunch with Fay on Mother's Day Sunday.

I think every weekend in May will be filled with either a ballet or opera. My cousin Alex and his fiancee Jane are getting married on May 28. Fun fun fun.

OK this is a pretty good posting. I will try to blog more next month because I celebrate all month long during my birthday month of MAY!

Tax Season in Full Swing

So tax season is in full swing and I am getting busy!

I hired my bf Carl to work for me -- so I've been paying him $20 an hour to help me with my bookkeeping.

Making a ton of money this tax season. Double last March, more than last April. Momentum is swinging my way.

Nothing else is that new. I am working this weekend and Carl wants to help out -- I'm going to go broke having him help me. LOL

More New Years Resolutions

Oooh a blog post so soon after my last post.
I need to come up with better new years resolutions.
One that I forgot to mention is
#4 wear makeup and start caring for my skin (i.e. buy dry-skin skincare regimen). I turn 39 next year and I need to start combating the tests of time

Carl joked (I think) that I should only wear makeup when I see him so 1, 2, 3 times a week which is doable. I'll prolly start that way but I want to be like my good friend Fay (yeah, yeah I know it rhymes). She wears makeup every day and looks so polished and professional. I really don't think I'll age that poorly as I'm Asian but it still doesn't hurt to try to combat the wrinkles and fine lines.

#5 Travel to a New York Giant's away game. I think I'm going to visit London when the Giants play the St Louis Rams in London on October 23.

New Year's Resolutions - Part Deux

So my new years resolutions are pretty much the same as last year:

#1 Grow tax business from 225 clients to 300 clients. Ways to achieve this: more CL advertising, Thumbtack responses, Wework networking
#2 Lose 10 lbs and maintain it. I will continue going to Equinox gym and doing cardio and add weights in. Currently weigh 105 lbs.
#3 Continue relationship with Carl, grow closer, do more fun things together

I will add some more resolutions:

• Including add weight-lifting to my cardio runs
• Continue attending true barre at Brookfield
• Learn more about nutrition and healthy eating
