OK I had one appointment on Sat and one appointment on Sun. Not so bad. No appts tmrw but I do start my second day of hopefully constructive work at the technology company started by the Cornell graduate.

It's a very depressing work situation. Run-down apt building! I hope it doesn't become full-time. I know I can do better! LOL

I have two tax appts on Tuesday (one at 8:30am, one at 5:3opm just in case I need to work on Tuesday). One tax appt on Sat.

I need to get more busy! It's the home stretch - last 4 weeks before tax season ends!

I am meeting my bro for burger dinner at Van Diemens ($24 for two burgers with fries, two beers and one fried OREOS). Not bad!

Then going to Sushi dinner for 2 at Fusha West in Upper West Side with Chiemi on Tuesday.

My first dining out meetup at Breeze with three other people! That should be fun.

NY Philharmonic concert on Thursday - guest conductor over Henze and Schubert. With dinner at Il Violino beforehand.

No plans on Friday night.

Saturday night I am going to Nets basketball game ($20 tickets) with Chiemi in Prudential Center in Newark, NJ

Sunday I am going to movie and dinner meetup with Alfredo, his last as a meetup organizer. The movie is Hunger Games .. Should be good.

So I have an action-packed week ahead of me.

Tax Clients

I met with three or four clients today. Meeting four clients and one interview (John at 10AM, Cynthia at 11AM, interview at 12PM, Joe at 2PM and Laura at 4PM.

Met my corporate client Corey today, Brian (married filing jointly), Robin (collected two years' worth of taxes). Not bad! Meeting Robin on Thursday to give her her completed taxes.

Wednesday I am meeting Adam, my longest client maybe at 4 years! Corporate taxes! Meeting David M to do his business taxes (collecting his stuff)

Friday morning meeting Linda G, Jessica P's referral in Astoria a block away at Dunkin Donuts at Steinway and Astoria Blvd. Have to send her a referral check after I do her taxes.

I might visit my parents on Sunday to have Paddy play with Ollie. Thursday going to see Macbeth with Emma. Friday seeing L'Elisir D'Amore with Josh. Saturday night having dinner with Augusto at Jebon Sushi for Opentable coupon $20 for $40 worth of food.

Whoops been a while since my last post. Brandon R went to Snowbird UT to go skiing with a bunch of buddies. I thought Colorado is the choice destination for skiiers.

Oh well what do I know?

Anyways he checked into a lot of Salt Lake City venues today so I thought he was heading home but no airport check-ins. Who knows when he'll be home. I think I'll get my period tmw! just in time for his return home! LOL

I made $500 today, possibly $575 tomorrow. Not so bad! I need to work on three returns and an expense receipt project. OOOH what fun!

I need to get more new clients - not sure how I'll get them though.

OK I got back from Ido Sushi in West Village. I had sushi dinner for two with appetizer and a glass of wine (Sapporo beer for my bro). Not so bad! Very full.

I went to Pure Food and Wine last Friday with Chiemi and was not full and not satisfied with my raw vegan meal. Won't go there and prolly won't go to Candle either! Staying away from vegan places.

I will go to Tu Casa on Steinway and 30th Avenue tmw night with meetup group. It's only 2 blocks away from me, I have to try it out. Then Thai food in Queens Blvd on Thursday night. No plans this weekend except finish John's expense project and Little Feet's tax returns. Maybe catch Real Madrid-Real Betis match Sat at 4PM. Pug meetup at 11AM on Sunday in Animal Haven. Will do 7:45AM mass.

Tax season update

I am blogging from my office. 224 West 35th Street, Suite 1208, between 7th and 8th Avenues. Not so bad!

I got a call from Brandon R on Monday at 1:17PM and he wanted to meet I guess then. But I was free at 3PM and he didn't call. And then he calls at 5-ishPM how fucking messed up is that. Didn't hear from him yesterday (which was good because I was busy). Not busy tonight.

I wanted to take the day off so I rescheduled Adam to tmw and then Patrick, a client from last year, emailed me and so I am in the office today. 4PM appt. Shd be done by 4:40-ish. Not so bad.

Might make 1050-1350 this week! Not so bad! And it's not even March yet! YAY GO TAX SEASON GO ME!

Bad timing with Brandon

See I was free after 4PM today and Brandon didn't contact me. He will contact me on the nights when I'm busy. LOL.

I have two meetups tmw. One pug meetup *(which is why I joined meetup in the first place). Church at 7:45AM tmw. I will also do a Real Madrid-Levante meetup at 3:30pm. I had a tentative corp tax meeting in Westchester but that will be rescheduled to a future date.

No plans after 5:30pm maybe Brandon will call me tmw night.

Then Monday 1PM client, 5:15PM dental appt, my last appt unless I get more cavities or root canals. Knock on wood, no!

Tuesday, 3 appts. 12PM, 1PM, Meetup with NY Ethnic Group for Valentine's Day, Vietnamese restaurant in Chinatown, that seems fun, 30 people signed up

Thursday 1 off-site appt on 93rd and Broadway Starbucks

These tax appts I am booking are mostly last year's clients. Not so bad. But I want new clients like the S Corp in Westchester. Here's hoping I get more new business in the coming weeks.

I will see Josh for dinner at Ah! Chihuahuas in Midtown East this Friday at 7PM (near my old apt on 51st and 1st). It's on 3rd and 53rd. That's a groupon deal, not so bad!

Then Saturday at 8PM at the Met Opera House in Lincoln Center I have an opera Ernani with Emma. Balcony box seats, $47.50. Not so bad.

No plans on Sunday although that can change. I wanna see that movie This Means War. Maybe I will see that or Safe House with my bro.

Wedding plans

I bet if I marry Brandon, it'll be a huge wedding! He has like 800 friends on Facebook. He's from money and makes a lot of money.

The only trick with him is his age. He is 26, turning 27 in August. Far away from the age of 30 when a guy might want to settle. Also he's Jewish not sure how important it is for him to marry some Jewish girl.

Brandon's stalking me

OK I'm being stalked. Brandon called me on Wed night at 7PM right before meeting my friend Chiemi for burger dinner in East Village. Tonight he called at 4PM twice and then when I didn't pick up he called at 5:20PM. I picked up and we chatted. I am busy tonight meeting Augusto for Indian dinner I'm treating him to because he lent me his phone number to use for Craigslist.

I wasn't busy yesterday and he didn't call. Anyways I told him I wasn't busy this weekend but who knows he might be going to Vermont to ski with his buddies. who knows?

He tweeted his friend about going to the Brooklyn Bowl last night but he went to Irving Plaza. Weird, eh?

Also he's asking abt anal sex. That's great. he's like humongous and now he wants that. That will be painful. Not picking up his blocked calls anymore. LOL

Brandon update

I met up with Chiemi for a burger, side and beer for two for $19. Not so bad! Brandon called me at 7PM. He asked me for my number a week ago so I thought he lost my number. Strange. Anyways, I was busy so another time I guess.

But he did ask me to meet up with him a week ago when he was supposedly in Boston. Isn't that strange?

I will prolly see him this weekend as I am not busy this weekend. Not that excited about meeting him. He is too young and Jewish for me. His sisters are 23 and 21, for Chrissake, one's in college still.

It'll be nice to date him. Even if he's only 5'11 according to those dating sites he belongs to.

Brandon was in Boston. Not sure if he is a Patriots fan or what but he did say he was in a Giants celebration in Boston. Not sure if he's there for work or if I'll ever hook up with him or ever get into a relationship. He's too young, too young. Keep repeating that!

Update this week

I've fallen off the exercise band wagon. I will recommit this week. I will try to sign up for Gregg Cook's spin class at 19th and Broadway on Monday. I have two or three tax appts on Monday. One on Fri and three undetermined ones. I will try and get my business tax software this month and mail my amended tax returns so I can get my tax refund.

I heard from Brandon last Sat but didn't want to meet so I made up some excuse. Haven't heard from him since. He is in Chappaqua/Mt Kisco area now or this afternoon. Too bad for a mild winter. He really does enjoy skiing.

Oh well, meeting Chiemi for dinner at Black Iron Burger. $19 for two burgers, two sides, and two beers. Not so bad. Dentist appt on Monday. Meeting Augusto for an Indian meal somewhere on the UES on Friday. Chill weekend - Real Madrid game on Sunday Feb 12. Meeting a CU applicant on Sat in Bayside.

Brandon's baaaack

OK the last time I heard from Brandon R was October 31. It's been almost three months later but he contacted me on yahoo messenger. Strangely enough on twitter he checked into Boston places but he said he wanted to meet now. Which means he's fake checking into Boston places. WEIRD

Anyways I have to meet someone at 4:30PM and then going home and then maybe concert by Deadbeat Darling tonight so not meeting Brandon tonight.

It's interesting to see he resurfaced. I knew he wouldn't completely disappear.

He said why would I care abt him when I said it was nice to know he was alive. I just agreed. He's my ideal bf besides the 8 year age difference and him being Jewish. those two minor things.

I became a fan of his sister's. At first they have different last names so I thought they were cousins. But I'm pretty sure they are siblings.

He just signed off yahoo, maybe it will be another three months before he contacts me. Who knows?

He is on a dating site with his ny8685 which is his gmail email address. He lists himself as 5'11. And I thought he was 6'. None of the guys I've hooked up with was 6' except maybe Jonathan Tootell. He had a nice body!

I am so Internet stalking Brandon. I know he has two sisters and parents. His mom's an artist. Dad's a dentist.

So we are back in the swing of the new year 2012. I got paid on my $410 project and my $250 project. Not so bad to usher in the new year!

Still miss Brandon R! He didn't check into anything today. Hope he is okay. Hope I haven't heard the end of him

2011 in Review; 2012 Ahead

Happy New Year!

2011 was a tough year. I lost my job at Morgane Le Faye in January. Made abt 8 months worth of income during tax season 2011 and had around 100 clients. Then started at Chapman Consulting end of May only to lose that job in October. At least I have unemployment for 46 weeks, not bad!

Then I had my second root canal, first root canal in 2011 (first one I had back in 2007). That cost $600 even with dental insurance. Then I got a second root canal in 2011 in December this time costing $1100. In addition to 6 cavities for $175. Not a good dental year.

Then I ended a 15 month relationship that wasn't going anywhere with a guy I was only lukewarm in a state several states away! Yup Davey was totally pointless and akin to being single. What a waste of time and effort!

Then Brandon who finally got the guts to meet me, but that went nowhere either. I do like checking his twitter updates, always a hoot to see him checking into everything. He stopped announcing his whereabouts in recent days, but it's still superfluous!

So decided not to go out with anyone ever again and being single with a dog. Yup that's my takeaway from 2011.

I will try to get to 150-160 clients this year and make enough for 10 months. that along with my unemployment income will set me up until Sept 2013.. And I will try to get to 200 clients for 2013 and be able to survive for the whole 12 months. That's my game plan. No vacations but no 8:30-5:30pm full-time job.

So will move to a new office 419 Lafayette, 2nd Floor February 15 to May 18. Will get new business cards soon.

Bought balcony tickets for Hansel and Gretel Tues Jan 3 at 7:30PM and having dinner at Luce at 5:45PM.

Bought family circle front seats for The Enchanted Island for Sat Jan 28 for 8PM and having dinner at Il Violino at 6PM.

I twisted my ankle slightly last week. Taking 10 days off from running. Will return to spin with Constance Marie Cohen at 9AM at 92nd and Broadway. Then will do some strength training upper for 45 minutes then going to Zabar's to get a pie tin so I can bake a blueberry pie. Also a pastry cutter, cheese grater, and muffin pan.

-Get super cut with Barry's Bootcamp workouts and Whipped/Brazilian/30/60/90 classes

-bake new pie/cake/cookies/muffins/bread each week

-cook one to two new dishes each week

Getting off all medication!

Tonight I took 2 2o mg tablets of Geodon. I have been only on 60 mg of Geodon for the past week. I will take 40 mg of Geodon until Jan 10, then I'll switch to 20 mg until Jan 20 and then I'll go completely off it. I think this is possible because I don't drink any caffeine (no coffee for 28 days and no soda for at least 20 days!). I sometimes occasionally drink Snapple Iced Tea but tea caffeine is better, more antioxidants.

I will cancel my Dr Sherman appt and be doctor-free and medicine-free for the first time since November 2007!

I stopped taking the Zoloft medication in late 2009 and I only needed the Geodon to go to sleep. But now that I have no job, tax season is not until mid-February and I can sleep longer hours because I have no caffeine in my system I don't need Geodon to go to sleep! I hope this 40 mgs is enough! Patrick moved to Chicago, no Brandon or even innocuous clueless Davey is out of the picture. So no guys to get paranoid over. Perfect time to end this medication addiction.

My Pumpkin Bread

This pumpkin bread came out quite delicious. Better than Starbucks and cheaper too! Still have one more can of pumpkin left so I can make it again! Yummy

My new baby, the Kitchenaid Electric Mixer. I paid $275 for it in July when I was employed. And I'm going to use it today for the first time to make ultimate pumpkin bread.

Xmas update

I will try to post weekly if not more updates on my blog. Still at my parents. Have been here since Christmas Eve!

I am making my old recipes from Jan 2010. I will try cooking more because it saves on money and I'm tired of the food in my neighborhood.

I'm going to make spicy cajun chicken fettuccine (from Pioneer Woman's website. www.thepioneerwoman.com) on Thursday. I have to eat the avocados before they go bad!

I've been making a chicken avocado salad with grilled chicken, sliced avocado, cherry tomatoes, red leaf lettuce and diced eggs! Very tasty! I need to buy jalapenos. I found them to be really good and they were at the Morgan Le Faye cafetaria salad bar.

My dad bought me a winter coat. It's Larry Levine cream colored (I still want the white DKNY or the white Calvin Klein coat) long down coat. I prolly won't wear it often as I don't want to get it dirty. I'll be spending a fortune on dry cleaning bills as my mom predicts. They also got me some thermal underwear and a rice cooker.

Still need to buy a blender, food processor, cheese grater, and rolling pin. What irks me is that I bought a cheese grater and rolling pin back in 2010.. Not sure where they are!

So headed back home tmrw around 4:30PM. I might take a spin class tmrw morning. It's an hour spin because in Long Island they spin for an hour (LOL).

I just love Robert Pennino's Terrier Tri cycling classes! I think that makes up for the $178 Equinox membership fee. He's my favorite spin instructor of all time. Gregg Cook of the Terracycle classes is a close second favorite spin instructor. He teaches three classes M to Thur and two classes on Fri. Gonna try his Whipped Classes next month to prep for BBC classes in March. Also will take Leandro Calvallo (sp?) Brazilian Butt/Tummy Tuck/Body Sculpt classes. And Kristi Molinaro's 30/60/90 classes.

Also will save money for a Polar FT60 heart-rate monitor watch! $130. I will get that in March to train for the Brooklyn Half-Marathon!

It looks like there might be showers on NYE, so will skip the outdoor 4 miler. My first race will be the Coogan's 5K. Will try to do it in 8:30 min miles!

I am beginning to like to run again. Need to train up to 6 miles (one full Central Park loop).

Wonder if I'll ever hear from Brandon R again. I do know what he's up to on any given day given his constant twitter updates. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing, LOL

I went to the Jets-Giants game on Christmas Eve with Augusto. That's the last time he goes to a winter game with me. He abandoned me after the third quarter. Not a true fan! Giants won! I was ecstatic! Giants are my number 1 team of all time. Followed closely by Real Madrid, Mets, Yankees, then Jets. I doubt they will win the Super Bowl with Mark Sanchez. I see Vick, Romo and Flacco winning Super Bowl Rings before Sanchez. there was a funny heckler who kept calling him Mark Sandwich. very funny guy!

Too bad I am not making enough money from my tax business to go to the Cowboys-Giants NFC East title game! One way is to get one ticket and use my dentist money and just not finish my post and crown. LOL Nah!

BBC! Updates

So the weekly updates have come to a halt. So sorry for those even bothering to read this. I am still doing my own tax business and working out like a fiend.

I am projected to be fine without full-time or even part-time work until September of 2012. So I will look for full-time or part-time work in April after this coming tax season!

I have lost 4-5 lbs. I am currently hovering near 103. Once I weighed 102.4... I want to weigh 95 lbs because I weighed 95 lbs back in 2001 when I was 24 and had a super-crush on Joe, this really hot trainer at NYSC. I googled him and he is still there now as a fitness services manager. His FB pic is with him and this woman, not sure if that's his wife, fiance, girlfriend. I did ask to be his contact on LinkedIn but he has only 4 connections so I doubt he uses it much. He's still hot! Thought he wanted to be an actor. Oh well.

My new craze is Barry's Boot Camp! I ordered a 5-pack for $110. $22 a session instead of $32. I will take some fitness classes at Equinox to prep myself up for the BBC.

I will prolly take it with Joey Gonzalez, COO of BBC. I was contemplating taking Noah's classes but he's not an expert trainer like Joey. Plus he's Jewish! LOL I doubt I will be dating Noah anyways. He did accept my friend request unlike Joey. All of them don't hold a candle to Joe. He inspired me to run the marathon... I am even contemplating tracking down which NYSC he belongs to and re-joining NYSC. Nah. I like not being in any relationship of any kind. As Rachel Weisz character said in Definitely Maybe, "I don't need a guy!" Just his sperm. LOL

I will cut out my hair coloring and manicure expense if I like BBC.

OK nothing else new with me. Nothing to do today or tonight. I spun with RP of Terrier Tri at 85th and Third (four spin classes each day this week in a row!). Will attempt to run 3.4 miles tmrw.

He gave out free Terrier Tri coffee mugs! Not sure why the 85th Street Equinox members are so special. I went to the 63rd St Terrier Tri on Wednesday morning and he didn't give anything out to them!

Update

So sorry I haven't posted sooner. Not much to report. Went on an interview on Tuesday and got rejected. Didn't really want the job as it requires lots of overtime all year long. I just want to work 40-50 hrs, not 60-65 hours. No Saturdays for me!

Anyways Brandon has been busy and I haven't heard from him since Halloween. Not that I want or crave sex anymore. Also he's too young for me and Jewish for me anyways. Just have to keep reminding myself.

I came to the Starbucks to see if I can download iTunes but it is not working so I will wait to next Wednesday when I go home to my parents and can leave it on all day long to load up.

I have been going to the gym a lot these days. Planet Fitness is open 24 hours from Monday to Friday. I still have insomnia so I've been going to Duane Reade and buying stuff. Not good for my wallet.

There is this one audit project that I'm not doing so well and I may have to turn down if I don't get the workpapers to see what the previous auditor did. But that's potentially $820 (two audit projects) and I can sure use the money this holiday season.

I have been attending a lot of spin classes and yoga and Pilates classes at Equinox. Finally making the most of my $178 membership fee. I even ran 1.5 miles yesterday but I think I will lay off the gym for the next few days as it hurts to walk down stairs. I still prefer Robert Pennino's spin classes the most. Followed by Damien and Constance. I don't like Jeff Martin who sings along to the songs and Jason who talks about the news and politics. Don't need to hear that.

I am going to catch the Q101 bus to go home and then go to the soccer game at Mr Dennehy's Real Madrid versus Valencia. #1 vs #3. Should be a good match.

Then tonight I am going to go see an opera, Rodelinda. It is from 8 to 11:50. Tomorrow I might do a spin class if I am not sore or skip it. Church depending on whether or not I take that class and then going to knit a scarf if it kills me. The blue one for my mom. And then a white one for Augusto. Need to go to Staples to photocopy the pattern so I can bring it along with me.

I figured my budget out and since Steve owes me some money and I'm getting unemployment I think I can survive to Sept 2013 doing my own tax business. Not so bad.

So a week and a half has passed by and I have not seen or heard from Brandon. I didn't like the sex and he wasn't asking me out on any dates. He is 26 and Jewish. Need to move on. Gonna die with a dog and maybe my own child if I can afford one.

How ironic. Brandon's at Gilette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts for the Giants-Patriots game. I was contemplating going too but I have a tax seminar in Manhattan Monday morning so I decided against it.

He's funny. Not sure which team he's rooting for since he went to college in Boston.

I have 3.5 full-day seminars for the CPE. Monday Nov 7, Wed Nov 16, Fri Nov 18, and Mon Nov 21.

I wonder if I'll see him this week. Ultra-bored.

One of my clients paid me 300/1200 owed, so 900 is still owed.

Two nights in a row

OK, yesterday I met my bro in Flushing for some pho for lunch. I wasn't that hungry and didn't eat that much. Steve said he would accompany me tight- and yarn-shopping if I paid for his cigarettes and dinner.

Then Brandon IM'ed me around 3pm asking me to meet him for more sex. I told him later.

I got some white yarn at Knitty City and then a McRib meal with an extra McRib sandwich for

$1, not bad!

Then I headed home with my bro to watch Game 7. Brandon contacted me while I was on the N train and asked to meet.

So I took a cab from Astoria to his place on East 50th and Second Ave. $17.25 with tip for those wondering. We had some sex and then I jerked him off. It still hurt. Anyways, he said he'll be gone for who knows what so two nights in a row followed by a 3-4 week absence. who knows where it comes with him? And my feeling that there might be more is dwindling. oh well, a fuck buddy is good enough, right?

I went to a costume kickball party.. where they play drinking ping pong games and card games. Remind me not to go to another kickball party. Chiemi brought surgical scrubs as a costume for me.

It finally happened!

OK, Brandon and I had sex tonight. And boy it did hurt! I am not sure how big he is but he must be at least 8 inches....... I guess Patrick was not that big because I don't recall the sex with Patrick as hurting.

And the funny thing abt that was he went with my suggestion on the position.

The cool thing is that I got home in time for Big Bang Theory. I am on Season One, Disc Two for Big Bang Theory. I am done with Season Two of Gossip Girl.

Rangers-Cardinals game tonight. Game 6. I hope the Rangers can beat the Cardinals before it goes to game 7 in St Louis.

I signed off on someone's income so I got $200. Plus I need to get paid for that $1200 client and the $500 client. Plus $410. Not so bad! I will be able to survive til October. That $410 client said he has two more projects. Maybe I can get that too.

I think I can survive to February and tax season which should be good until October. And if I get $820 in audit clients per month, then I can do year-round on my tax business.

I am going on Wednesday night to Fulton with Josh. Then Sat night going to Rosa Mexicano with Josh, Augusto and possibly 2 other meetup members.

I hope I get to finally see Brandon, he's been MIA from twitter at night and from yahoo IM. Maybe it's over. however brief that was.

No more full-time job

Lost my job today and I don't qualify for unemployment. Oh well. Life sucks!

I do qualify for COBRA, so that's not bad.

Now I get to meet Brandon whenever he so desires. I have not heard from him since Tuesday though. Maybe I lost him for good. I doubt it.

So Brandon told me on Tuesday night to come over at 5PM on Wednesday but I didn't see him online so I just met up with Augusto for some sushi dinner.

I had a lychee martini and am getting over being buzzed.

I knew Brandon would chicken out. I think I will eventually meet him for sex but it's never going to be easy.

My housekeeper came over and my apt is super-clean. Now just have to maintain that level of cleanliness.

I just got home from dinner with Chiemi at Cafetasia. We had a $30 Living Social coupon.

Now watching Yankees game, Brandon is there with some friends. how come everyone he goes with and says in his tweet that he's going with tweets they're going with someone else. it's kinda funny and sad at the same time.

Brandon's so far bad luck for the Yankees. I won't be too majorly bummed if the Yankees don't make it to the World Series. I do want the Phillies to make it to the WS more.

Wednesday Update on Brandon

So Brandon does have all-access. He's at the Equinox in Boston. He went to Boston last night. I think he went to Boston for a haircut. Not confirmed yet, but it's seeming like it. He didn't check into any media company today. But maybe he'll stay there for the weekend and leave me the hell alone. he really annoyed me this past weekend insisting on meeting him when I was busy.

I did get my bloodwork done so I can get tested for hepatitis and HIV. Hoping Davey didn't give me any std. I did get checked for gonorrhea and chlamydia in February so he didn't give me those diseases.

I was so tired yesterday morning that I texted my boss to say I was sick and slept til 1PM. I was so tired. then I went to the doctor and got some coffee. yumm. now that the weather is getting cold and crisp I've been craving hot coffee.

went back to work today. kinda busy. Paddy is staring at me now. Not sure why.

as each day goes by and I learn more about Brandon, he gets more and more nutso. But he was funny in his tweet last night. He was saying if you put the kit kats on bagels then you're a full-blown fatty. that was hilarious. who puts kit kats on bagels? so funny. that def made me smile for the morning.

OK I am just posting what is happening. Brandon went to Boston for work Wednesday night and tweet-asked his friends in Boston if he should stay the weekend there. then his friend said some nyc guys were in town. So I thought he'd stay the weekend and leave me the hell alone. No he comes back on Friday and IM's me Friday night. Then he contacts me on Saturday night asking for a threesome. And the most annoying come over fuck me IMs on Sunday. Couldn't meet him this weekend. And tonight when I could, he is nowhere to be found.

But I found out why he is MIA on Mondays. He has some flywheel class on Monday nights. some type of studio cycling class.

Yankees

Brandon likes the Yankees and Dave Matthews Band. He saves all the ticket stubs and puts them in his desk glasstop case. Very interesting.

Job woes

Just got some bad news at the office, still on probation. Now I have to get my journal entries approved by my boss. Hope this passes and I get a raise in December. Hoping for the best!

Hmmm ten days darnit I'm supposed to blog more not less! Anyways, it's after Labor Day so summer is over.

My doggie walker who charged $10 a walk for 15 minutes moved away to do an internship in Brewster, NY so I had to hire a more expensive dog walker. Paddy. Paddy is walking Paddy. LOL

So back in 2008-2009 I was communicating with this 23 year old named Brandon Rosen**blatt. He was very hot. but young. I was 31. 8 years older. And we made times to meet up but he would always back out, chickening at the last minute. I doubt that's happening and he's busy this weekend for a wedding in the Nantucket area. And next week is no good. Oh well. It's been 11 days since my last post. I sometimes remind myself I need to post an update but then I never get around to it.

Just called it quits with Davey. In June or so he asks me to define the relationship as we're not bf-gf. news to me! Anyways that relationship was not going anywhere. I only saw him once every 3-5 months, that's just not acceptable. I am going to give up dating guys and just focus on my career and earning enough money to raise a kid on my own. Just one kid preferably a boy. Sperm donor: white male with dark hair who's intelligent and not ugly (no big nose, no glasses, brown eyes, don't want a freak half-Asian kid with blue or green eyes).

By December, I shd be making 60K. And then wait another year to December 2012 to get to 70K, and then in December 2013 get to 80K. that's not bad. I can afford a baby with 80K. I'll be 37 in May of 2014 and making 80K. That's enough for diapers and I'll be sending my kid to public school. LOL maybe Stuyvesant! and save up in a college fund for Cornell's state school, that's not a bad plan!

I'll name my son Jason after Jason Bay! LOL

If it's a girl I'll name her Isabella and nickname her Ella.

Week of July 25

My boss was away from July 18 to July 25. He was back today! And now I'm busy again! LOL It was nice having a vacation from him as he puts it! LOL

I went into work today at 5:30AM. Took the 5:05AM Q101 bus to work. Then I washed my hair and got a yogurt parfait and venti mocha frappaccino (got my 15 stars and free drink from Starbucks). Then it was 6:25AM when I got to work. And I finished up all my work yesterday so I had nothing to do but clean up my desk and label my file folders! Boy I had a lot of down time before my boss got in at 9:20AM!

But then it got busy. I left promptly at 5:30PM and left my iPhone at work so I had to go back and the N/Q trains to Astoria were delayed so I didn't get home til 6:30PM.

Now I'm struggling to stay away til at least 9:30PM so I don't get up at 3:30AM. Went to bed at 8:30PM yesterday.

Can't find my Blockbuster DVD. Will reorder it from them. I keep reporting stuff missing. I wonder when they'll discontinue my service.

Today is a chill week. Tomorrow I wanna go to Knitting Doctor and get some help casting on. Also wanna go to mass tmrw morn to make up for missing Sunday mass. Thursday I wanna hit a yoga class in the morning and then get dinner at Sprig with Josh. Dentist at 6:30PM on Friday then going to get some pho from Pho Bang in Flushing afterwards. Sat 12PM I have a photo shoot planned with Paddy at Central Park. that should be fun. Sun I will go to church in the morning and then I have a Knitting 2 class at Lion Brand Studio.

Next Monday will go to my friend's sample sale at Decode 1.8. $35 dresses. Tuesday I have a Mets-Marlins game. No plans to go with anyone as of yet. Then tentative dinner plans with Chiemi later that week at Bento Burger in the East Village so I can give her the Yankees ticket. My bro installed new bookcases and I moved the contents along with the Yankees tickets elsewhere so I have to look for them. Not good.

I will try to add some more photos to my web blogging so it gets more interesting.

I also didn't post last week, will try and remember to post an entry at least once a week.

Taking a pilates class Saturday morning, then hitting IKEA to look at bookcases. I want to get one with a drawer. Dentist appt to fix 2 cavities on my left side of the mouth. Still have two cavities on the right side of my mouth that will be another visit. Sunday brunch at Goat Town with three other brunch'ers, then Mets-Phillies game! Maybe try to get a manicure after the game.

Need to get some pancetta and some other ingredients to make baked sausage ziti! I need to test my oven to see if it works. I wanna bake a maple pecan tart for the office as an appreciatory gift for my new found raise!

So Joel, the general manager at GMC Parking, who is the hiring manager and hired me told me at the start of the job that I will get a review in three months and six months. And the president told me over the phone that if I'm successful I will see a rapid rise in my salary. Joel told me before he went on vacation that when he gets back he'll ask Mr. Chapman about a raise and I don't have to wait three months. He didn't mention anything to me all day so I finally asked him at the end of the day. And he said he has to talk to the president and my boss. So I really hope I get a raise of 5-8K this time. I am not making that much money so I really need it. If I get two 2 8 K I will still not be making what I made in AIG. But the guy I replaced made 90K so I am hoping I get around 65K after a year or 18 months, that will be nice!

Blaise told me last week that I am doing well there and he foresees me doing a good job. That's a vote of confidence! So I am really hoping for a good raise this time around!

I hope it happens fast! the president is leaving for a vacation after Tuesday and my boss is away on Thursday and all of next week.

Got a new job end of May and really busy these days

I've been meaning to update my blog. I saw Davey three weeks ago. He came down to NYC. That went well. I should be seeing him in August in DC.

I got a new job! It's at Chapman Consulting, sister company of GMC Parking. I started on May 31. And it's going well. It's a real estate company that owns a lot of parking garages in Manhattan. Not as big as MPG. But about 60 garages. Not so bad. I am slated for a raise in 1 week so that will be interesting to see how much more they give me given I've worked there for only 4-5 weeks.

I have been super-busy. Jacqi and Jackie have been replaced by Augusto and Josh. I am still friends with Chiemi. I am going to see a foreign Asian film from the Asian Film Festival with Josh on Thursday. That's following a 7PM yoga class. The Sleeping Beauty ballet on Wednesday. I got dress circle seats, so that should be good. Tuesday I am scheduled to take a pilates class unless I have to work late. And on Friday I have a dentist appointment. Saturday I have a Pilates class in the morning followed by a Yankees game then Deadbeat Darling concert at night. Sunday I have to go to church around 12pm followed by a 2pm 3 hr knitting in the round class. Then I will be headed to a dinner at Nick and Toni's followed by a movie Transformers hopefully in IMAX with Augusto.

Busy week!

And then I am getting new bookcases next week after I get paid.

Some people's updates on Facebook boggle my mind. For instance this police officer in upstate NY and his wife who doesn't work and stays at home with their newborn son, how much can he make? They bought a house and she got a treadmill. I'm thinking he makes like 50k.... anyways, it boggles my mind!

Then this dance instructor said he got 2700 Lasik surgery last year. He's a dance instructor at Bally's, how can he afford that?

One of my former friends is blogging every week so I think I should do the same.

My weekend was nice. I had brunch with my new brunch group at Goat Town in East Village. I saw DJ again and I hung out with Emmy and Linda and two others for a total of 6 brunchers. Not so bad, even though 12 people signed up.

Osama was killed, which I'm happy about but life goes on.

I'm leaving at 1:45PM for Mr Dennehy's to watch the Real Madrid-Barcelona match. It's at Barcelona so I expect a blowout!

Tomorrow night is a sushi meetup group at Ko Restaurant. Time for celebrating the month of May is it's my birthday month!

Away with the BAD!

So today was a difficult day. I cut out one of my good friends. She just wasn't supportive of my life decisions and she made me say negative things to her out of spite so it was just not healthy.

Anyways, moving on!

Davey's coming to NYC soon. That should be fun. I think I'll take him to the Thai place since that is going to expire soon. I hope he makes it for my birthday.

Everything's going well though, I'm getting a $250 check in the mail. And I have $150 in upcoming project.

I signed up for elance and bid on 4-5 more projects so I hope I get those.

Nothing else is new with me.

I'm meeting my friend Josh for dinner tonight at Bann. It's on me because he got dinner last time.

Tax Season Going on Strong!

The Knicks beat the Orlando Magic in overtime. Thrilling game!

Well Davey says he's coming to NYC to visit. We shall see. He's turned MIA lately.

I have one bookkeeping client tomorrow at 11AM, getting paid by one tax client tomorrow at around 5PM and then getting some receipts from a third client to type up into a spreadsheet for him. Wednesday I have an 8:30AM appt and an 11AM appt. Both tax clients. Thursday I have a 12PM tax client. No appts so far on Friday. One bookkeeping client at 10AM on Sat. A double client (boyfriend, girlfriend) at 4PM on Sunday. And it hasn't reached the midway of the week and I'm booked this week solidly.

I have 4722 in the bank account, but I have a 130 ticket, 1100 rent, 250 rent check outstanding. I wanna have 5-6K after tax season.

Have to get up at 9AM tomorrow. I should make my office hours 12PM to 7PM.

Paddy's being finicky lately. I feed him so much food he should be happy he has a mummy like me.

Update in March, BUSY tax season

Has it been almost two months since I posted an update? Bad me!

So tax season is getting busy. Have at least 5-7 returns left to prepare. Meeting 2 clients per day from tmrw (Thursday) to Saturday then one client on Sunday and one client on Tuesday.

But I am still going out. I am going to dinner and an opera featuring Natalie Dessay! Yup Lucia di Lammermoor. I thought it would be different actors but Dessay will be there! That's my favorite opera of all time, when she goes mad. That's the truth.. Then my grade school friends will be at the R Bar, not sure if I'll go down there after the opera ends at 11:40pm. We shall see!

I emailed Davey abt a 4-day trip to MD on March 17 to March 20. But maybe I'll get clients then and not be able to take the time off. We shall see!

Now been following the Knicks since last Wednesday when they got Carmelo Anthony and Billups. They won tonight, going 3-2 since the trade. I will try to get Knicks tickets in the coming weeks.

On the bus

So I'm on the Greyhound bus, using their Wifi. They don't have outlets though. If I went to DC, they would have outlets and Wifi.

I'm on the way to visit Davey in MD. I kinda bugged out on him again because I didn't hear back from him after he invited me down at 5PM. He responded back at 7:45PM. But all is well now.

I'm not going to ask when he'll move to NYC or why he doesn't come and visit me. I will just ask if he is free Good Friday weekend. That's reasonable, right?

It's sleeting snow and rain in NJ. I think it's still snowing in MD. I wonder what he'll be making for dinner tonight.

Got a new job!!!

So I finally got a job as an accountant/bookkeeper at Morgane Le Fay. I started on December 22. I am still claiming unemployment until last week since I don't get paid through Paychex until this week. I need all the money I can get... Anyways, I think I am born lucky. I have never been without any money in my life. I was employed at Morgan Stanley from 2000 to 2006, Wyeth from Jan 06 to May 06. Cantor Fitzgerald from May 06 to September 06. AIG from October 06 to July 08, Equinox from Jul 08 to Sept 08, then RBC from Sept 08 to Feb 09. Then I was unemployed from Feb 09 to Dec 10. 22 months I was on unemployment. Then when I earned 10K working for AccountEdge my own company.

Now I'm set. I have Adam's income, Commondesk on weekends and evenings and this Morgane Le Fay job plus my tax return and audit work income from AccountEdge. I can renew my lease when it comes due at the end of May. Even with roaches and the lack of the buzzer working, I don't think I can move to another building without leaving a substantial deposit. My credit history is poor and my income from the job at Morgane Le Fay is not high enough to warrant me to moving to a place that costs $1400 or more.

Last weekend in MD

So I was invited by Davey up this weekend, took the bus to Baltimore then transferred to Frederick so I got there around 3pm. He picked me up at 3:10pm and we hung out til 6pm whereupon he had to leave to go to a work dinner. He was gone til midnight! I was pissed so he slept on the sofa for part of the night. But we did end up having sex the morning after so we didn't break up over it.

He said he'll come to NYC in January. So we shall see! I have Carmen the opera on January 8, he prolly won't come on New Year's Eve. So he'll most likely come on January 15 which is 8 weeks (2 months) away. December is not a good month with Christmas and all. Anyways I wanna go up there Valentine's Day weekend on a Friday night and he said he'll show me around on Saturday and I can go home on Sunday. That will be in February.

Davey wants some more nude photos but my camera went missing. this is the fourth or fifth camera I've bought. Luckily the price went down to 99 so the total is 118, plus the carrying case that I lost (20) and an SD card (16), it'll be like the cost of it before at $150.

I was thinking about breaking up with Davey and going out with Howard. But he's 5'8 and has two teenage kids. Also he runs and wants to run with me and I haven't run in 4-5 months! I am not about to go running again for a guy. Davey doesn't make me run and he's 5'10 so my kids might be taller, LOL. So I think I will continue dating Davey and hope he moves to NYC sometime next year.

next weekend!

So Davey might be coming up to NYC for work this week so next weekend looks good to finally meet up. It's been over 3 months since I last saw him. He's also gonna think up some new poses for me to send.

I got drunk last night at Cheryl's birthday party. I had 5.5 martinis. Anyways, not gonna drink again anytime soon. The drinks were half-off so I only spent $36 on 6 drinks. $5 for the martini and $1 tip. At least I just used up all my cash in my wallet, and didn't charge anything to my card.

so I called Davey a lot on Friday and he got pissed. So much he said if I sent another text or call he would consider us done. haha, so I stopped. anyways I sent him an email tonight apologizing and he wrote back saying he doesn't believe me when I say I won't freak out again. oh well. I haven't freaked out the same though. all different ways.

Maybe he'll come this weekend when I have my period and have my Sat night concert to go to at Alice Tully Hall.

Anyways, it's scoreless in Game 5 of the World Series. Giants up 3-1 against the Rangers. Even though I love the Bushes, I am rooting for the Giants. Go Lincecum!

Update on Davey weekend

So Davey got sick this weekend and couldn't come. He did email me both on Sat and Sun showing a great desire to come. Oh well. I think he has his daughter this Halloween weekend. And I bought a classical music concert ticket for the night of Nov 6 so not sure if he wants to go to that. So instead of Rayuela we can go to a restaurant in the Lincoln Center area.

So maybe he'll come on Sat Nov 6 and we'll go to the concert then grab dinner in the Lincoln Center area. Dan Sushi? PJ Clarke's? I have to figure a good place to go to then. :)

Looks like Game 1 of World Series will be won by Texas Rangers and Cliff Lee. leading 2-0 with Cliff Lee on the mound for Texas against Lincecum.

Oct 23-24 weekend

So Davey promised next weekend. The weekend of Oct 23-24. That worked best because I went to a cello/piano concert at Alice Tully Hall on Saturday with my mom. That was good. My mom liked it more than the paid concert that I took her to the philharmonic last year. This concert was free. Definitely a plus to be part of the Classical Music Meetup group where I heard abt the free concert.

Anyways, I am planning to go ice skating this weekend and go to Rayuela and Verlaine for dinner and drinks, respectively. Fun weekend! He'll meet Paddy!

so Davey will let me know tmrw most likely if he's coming to NYC this weekend. Not sure if he has his daughter this weekend. And I want to go to a concert at 2pm on Saturday. Maybe next weekend. Who knows? Will keep you updated.

Breaking news: Davey has a daughter. Not sure how old she is. But apparently he was married years ago. Which is news to me. Anyways he had his daughter this weekend. I'm giving him until next weekend to show his face in NYC. He better bring flowers too!

Maybe next

Davey sent me a text this past Friday saying maybe next. So I hope he does come this coming weekend. This weekend makes eight weekends of not connecting. Asked him to call me today. We'll see if he does that.

But he said to take the time we have and enjoy it, so I know I'm in a monogamous relationship with him.

I like the ramen at Ippudo NY. Went there yesterday by myself and sat at the bar. Asked my bro if he wanted to go today, my treat.

So Davey didn't make it up last weekend. See his email below explaining:

"OK, I got flown out to San Fran today for work. Just got back to my hotel room after a long day. Hope I can fly out tomorrow, but it pretty much ruined my chance to come see you tomorrow. The hotel is really cool though. If you want me to send you some photos from my room, I can."

He sent me a text saying he'll try hard to be here this coming weekend but he can't make promises out of his control.

He's been MIA since last Friday so I sent him a video email hoping to jog up his senses. LOL He has to respond to that email. Anyways, here's looking to this weekend.

What shd I eat today? That is the question, I might go to Thai Pavilion and grabbing some Seafood Spicy Noodle.

Long time since my last post. Davey didn't make it up over Labor Day weekend but he thinks he can make it this weekend. Hope he can! It might rain on Sunday but nice day on Saturday.

Sent him a lot of texts and two voicemails over Friday and Saturday so he got annoyed. But he did text me twice over the weekend and emailed me asking for a new pose. I sent him a whole bunch of pics this week and he thought they were hot. The video he requested was too large to send thru email. Maybe in person.

Anyways, I made a reservation for two at Rayuela if I don't feel like cooking him lasagna Saturday night.

US Open Labor Day Monday

I am post-dating this entry to 9/6/10 but writing it on 9/9/10.

I went to the US Open with my mom on Labor Day Monday September 6. We watched Monfils down Gasquet, Kinepri defeat Wickmayer and Soderling beat Montagne. All of them have since been eliminated from the US Open. I'm rooting for Nadal vs Federer with Nadal giving him a straight sets spanking! I can dream, can't I?

And around 5:43pm on Sunday Davey texted me a message "Email ya in a bit". It sounded light so it sounded like it would be a good email. And it was. He sent it around 6:30pm (the first time he sent an email in the 6 o'clock hour). It was saying I hope you had "a good weekend even though we didn't get together. Next weekend is a definite possibility."

Davey's coming to NYC Labor Day weekend

So Davey wrote me yesterday and said he thinks the "Labor day plan will work." So I'm going to make plans for the weekend.

Ted Lilly is placed on waivers despite pitching 5-0 with a 1.83 ERA. Maybe the Yankees can get Lilly and I can finally drool over him at home! A girl can dream, right?

Team Chapstick!

I got up at 4am this morning to cheer Team Chapstick on to become Team Lipstick. That's the triathlon team I was on briefly before I quit to focus on the Marathon. But now that I'm not running the marathon, I am focused on losing weight through managing my food intake.

Anyways, there I am standing, two from the left. Sara was also not racing but I didn't get to talk to her much. I am trying to see where to go in the Hamptons on Sunday for a romantic dinner with Davey. And she spent some summers in Amagansett so I was thinking she could let me know what's the in place to eat in the Hamptons.

Silver Lining

So Davey's not able to get out of work to come to NYC this weekend. He said there might be a slim chance and he'll know late Friday afternoon but don't plan on him being here this weekend. The silver lining is that maybe he'll be able to come up the next weekend, which is Labor Day weekend. We'll see. To be continued....

I ate Black Garlic pizza (garlic, mushrooms and prosciutto) from El Greco Trattoria. Very yummy. Having the leftovers.

Italian Baked Lamb Chops

I'm making this, Italian Baked Lamb Chops, for lunch and dinner tonight. Yeah, I'm back to cooking baby! I'll take a pic of my final product and append this posting in an hr or so................ Bon appetit!

Thank God I tried that recipe out before trying to cook it for Davey. It didn't turn out that well, I had to nuke it in the microwave to cook it because it was still visibly red on the outside. Didn't snap a picture because it didn't look so good. Now I have enough leftovers to feed me til the end of tomorrow. So I'm not going to my parents until Wednesday to stock up on some food. I'm poor this week. August has been a sloooooooow month.

Anyways, I was going through my recipes and I'll make the Spicy Chipotle Lasagna for Davey if he comes up to NYC this weekend. He mentioned in an email last Friday morn abt coming the weekend after which would make it this coming weekend, but he hasn't followed that up with a more substantive email so not sure. Anyways I asked him if he wanted brownies with almonds or vanilla cupcakes with chocolate frosting. I'm hoping he says brownies so I don't have to buy an electric mixer.

Coming this weekend

Davey wrote me an email Friday morning saying the weekend after is good and that he'll write me more by Sunday but it's Monday and he hasn't said anything more abt visiting so not sure if he's definitely coming this weekend. But I hope he does.

I'm going to bake him Magnolia Bakery vanilla cupcakes with chocolate buttercream frosting. Yummy. Either that or Duncan Hines fudge brownies with almonds. He has to tell me which he wants more.... the brownies will be easier and then I won't have to get a hand mixer or a stand mixer.

My Favorite Flowers

Dean & Deluca named these flowers Nicola roses and they are my favorite. No, Davey didn't get me these, I bought them myself -- a dozen for $10. Not bad. At Dean & Deluca they were $20. But at a flower shop on East 62nd and Lexington Avenue, they were $10.81 with tax.

Anyways, I decided to get them to brighten up the room. I hope Davey remembers to buy me some flowers when he visits me. He still hasn't indicated which weekend he can come up. He mentioned some good weekends, so not sure if he's coming up for more than one weekend. We shall see.

Falling in love...

Every time he sends me an email I get happy. So it must be love. Anyways, just thought I would update with the good news.

Finally feeling something for Davey!

He really liked the bikini shot I took of myself in the dressing room. that bikini is by far the skimpiest, and it's from Benetton, so it's a good buy at $34, 50% off. I'll include some shots when my replacement digital camera comes in the mail.

Have to go into work today, and miss my dig camera delivery. I'll have to pick it up via car tomorrow after the beach. Oh well it's just for 1-2 hrs.

Back Together with Davey

OMG, I broke up with Brian on Monday July 26 and three days later on Thursday July 29, Davey emailed me and asked if I wanted to visit him in MD. No apology, just saying if I wanted to come down, he'll pick me up in Baltimore. That he was willing to "forgive past transgressions." I emailed him back saying was he really going to forgive the mean horrible email I sent him. He responded later that night and said if it was said out of spite, he could forgive it.

Anyways, after dating Brian for two weeks, I realized I still like Davey. the only minuses are his age and he is living in MD. But I decided to go down to MD on Saturday and I had a blast. He bought me a bikini from Hollister and didn't make me pay for it :) since he threw away the bikini I left at his apt after that mean email. We went to Balducci's and he got me this expensive wagyu ribeye steak. We got home and took a nap then he cooked me dinner. It was the best steak I've ever had. Anyways, we watched Hot Tub Time Machine but 30 minutes into the movie I fell asleep. Boy was I tired. then we went to sleep, got up around 9am and had some coffee. It was a relaxing weekend. He said when I come down in the fall, he'll take me to DC. So I'm taking that as in when I go to see him in September. :)

Anyways, he said it's his turn to come and visit me. So he hasn't given me a specific weekend yet but maybe in 3-4 weeks. Not sure if I'm going to cook for him, since he's such a great cook. Maybe we can go to Rayuela, that's a perfect date place. I'll treat him since he is driving up to see me.

So I'm debating whether or not to tell my therapist that I broke up with him for those three weeks. I'm leaning to just saying he came up to see me. I don't want her to judge the relationship like my other two friends, Ka Ming and Jacqui not approving. Only Jackie is not judging my relationship, which I'm grateful for.

I got up at 3AM today after going to sleep around 8:30PM, so I sent Davey an email ard 4AM and he's yet to respond. I think he checks his email before he goes to work and after he goes to work since he doesn't have yahoo mail at work. I hope he responds by tonight.

Heading to my parents and Jones Beach today. Then Yankees-BoSox game at 7PM with Jackie. She got these $75 seats for her bday on August 18, so looking forward to that game between the Yankees and Detroit Tigers :)

Just wanted to say I'm back in a relationship and I'm happy. I could see myself falling for him. He is debating on whether to buy or rent in NYC so once he makes his mind up, he'll be moving to NYC. Can't wait to hang out with him more!

End of Brian

OK, Brian just ended it with me because he didn't think we had enough chemistry and logistically we lived too far apart. I was going to try and argue with him but I am not going to. I think he's too fat and he has a 4 year old son. So no Great Adventures this Fri. I might see if my bro wants to go to Great Adventures on Fri.

No one else has contacted me on the dating sites so that's a bummer. I joined match, eharmony and okcupid. I might rejoin plentyoffish.

I seem to max out at two dates with a guy and then they end it. Hope I break out from that. Maybe I'll just post on craigslist on the long-term dating section. That's how I met Rich and I dated him for like 2 months.

Oh I'm going to Atlantic City Wed to Fri morning, that'll be my vacation this year. Short trip. Plus going to Boston weekend of August 7-8. I need to focus growing my business. Maybe I'll take a break from dating.

Great Adventures and Atlantic City

So Brian's taking me to Great Adventures next Friday. I have to go to Newark at noon and he'll drive there. He also said he'll pay for admission. It'll be $25 each since there's a special deal on Coke Cans. Mon-Fri buy one get one free.

Then my bro wanted to go to Atlantic City on Wednesday so I might go there for the second time in my life. The first time I went there I was 19 and I couldn't gamble since they carded me. I've only since gambled in one poker game (lost when I went all-in). That'll be my mini-vacation. I'm also headed to Boston August 7-8 to visit Helen, she might be moving from Boston to somewhere else because Nick, her husband, has to find a place to do his post-doc.

I bought these two pairs of shoes, one Franco Sarti sandals and this other Taryn Rose open-toed peep shoes. Both used and a bargain! Spent 20 on the sandals and 60 on the shoes. I also bought a dress for $15 so I got three items for less than 100! I love eBay!

New relationship

I started dating this new guy named Brian last Friday. He's a divorced dad of a 4 year old son named AJ.

Anyways, he ended up really liking me and calling me and texting me to the point where I called him the night before we were supposed to meet on our second date and told him he was acting a bit psycho. So he broke up with me and I sent him a nasty email calling him fat. Then he called me back later that night and still wanted to meet the next day.

So I met him for the second date and we had some fun. He is a public aid defense lawyer so he got out of court early and picked me up at 2:30pm where we went to the Met and checked out the Picasso exhibit. Picasso is his favorite artist. Then we went to KumSangGan restaurant (Korean) in Flushing. He came over and watched part of the Mets game before he left for NJ.

I really want to go to Great Adventures and he said he'll check his schedule to see if he can take off early one day next week. He said he might take Friday off, but then there's a chance he'll bring AJ and I don't want to meet his son quite yet. Maybe if I'm still dating him after three months, I'll be ready to meet his kid.

He also said I can pick an expensive restaurant for our next date. My friends have been weighing in. So far Union Sq Cafe is on the top of that list. I think Blue Fin is too expensive. I shd make him take me to Candle 79 and I can run into that cute bartender. Hahaha.

Anyways, I'll post again after the Great Adventures date or the next date. I think he really likes me so this is the first time a guy is chasing me. We'll see how long this lasts.

End of Davey

After I tried breaking up with him last week he broke up with me passively this week. Oh well I wasn't in love with him.

He was unresponsive at the end. I can't deal with that and it drove me nuts.

I am looking on match and okcupid. I left plentyoffish because I met Davey on that and that was a strange site.

No new prospects. Off the birth control pills. I lost a 6 month supply of birth controls on the subway so will abstain from having sex without condoms for the next 5 months.

Anyways, I'll update this as soon as I start cooking more. I'm making linguini with real clams next Monday. Have to get the clam meat cans next Monday from Whole Foods.

I'm operating on one hour of sleep because I need to be somewhere at 7:30AM.

trouble in paradise...

I'm not so sure when David's moving to NYC so I kinda wanna break up with him. I never wanted a long-distance relationship. I mentioned it to him last week but he assured me he'll make it easier for me by visiting me more often. So instead of four weeks, he's coming in three weeks to see me. I am not sure if I can do this.

He's also 12 years older than me. That's old.

And he has no hair.

So all those three factors plus the fact that I'm not falling for him and it's been two months already lead me to believe he's not the one. What to do?

I got back on Sunday from a weekend spent with Davey in Frederick, MD. I had a fun and relaxing weekend. I arrived around 10:40am at Baltimore's Penn Station. However, David didn't leave his house until after I arrived. He arrived around 11:35am and we drove back to his apt. He lives in a nice three level complex, Sunset Apartments. He told me his rent is $960. Rent is cheap in MD! We quickly changed for the pool and I paid 5 dollars for the pool access. He bought some Sam Adams' summer ale and some chips (no salsa or guacamole). He said he would make guacamole later.

Anyways we spent a couple of hours in the pool and sunbathing. It was relaxing and hot.

Then we took a nap together on the couch, abt 90 minutes long, I was only asleep for the last half hour and he woke me up because his arm had fallen asleep. Then we took a shower separately and got ready to go out. We went to the Tasting Room in Frederick, MD and had crab dip and I had the Beachy Lychee and he had a glass of red wine, merlot... Then we went to Safeway to buy the ingredients for a French hamburger and roasted squash.

He made me guacamole and we talked for a while because we weren't hungry. then around 10:15pm he cooked me a French hamburger and roasted squash plus some store-bought potato salad. It was by two candlelights so it was nice and romantic. Then we went to sleep. Nice day and evening.

Then the next morning, we woke up too late to make French toast but he did make me some coffee. It was good. Then he drove me to Penn Station in Baltimore and I got on the 12:15pm bolt bus to Manhattan. Got into 33rd and 8th Ave at 4:43pm.

He told me to pick a weekend for him to come up to NYC and he'll see if he can make it. So I have to figure out which weekend is good. I don't really wanna spend 2-3 days with him over July 4th weekend and then his birthday is Jul 9 so not sure if he'll want to come to NYC on his birthday weekend so it might be another 4 weeks til I see him again.

But I did write him an email on Monday telling him I had a fun time and he said he enjoyed having me there so all is well. I am happy.

He said best case scenario he'll move to NYC in three months but it could take up to 6 months, so we'll see how this dating goes til then.

I'm in a relationship! Just wanted to update it here. I confirmed it today with the guy David or Davey *haha* when I typically freaked out abt it. Haha. We may go away in September to Mexico!
